Holiday In The Points is a six week series of events that celebrate Christmas and Kwaanza "Five Points" style. From Black Friday to New Year's Eve, the Five Points Business District (FPBD) office has collaborated with a number of community organizations and local merchants to produce a jazzy and soulful series of holiday activities & events that will take place in & around the Five Points community.
Highlights of events over the course of six weeks include: An official Lighting Ceremony, Santa Clause @ Coffee at the Points, A Holiday Soul Food Cooking Demonstration, the Annual Ujamaa Market featuring local retailers, the annual Kwaanza Celebration, Holiday Movies at Crossroads Theatre, and live bands with musical performances at local venues.

"HOLIDAY IN THE POINTS" BEGINS ON BLACK FRIDAY WITH OFFICIAL LIGHTING CEREMONY

On Friday, November 26, please join us for the “Holiday in The Points” Kick Off, scheduled to take place in Downtown Denver’s historic Five Points neighborhood. The Five Points Business District will be hosting a special lighting ceremony highlighting an eclectic array of lights that will embellish the Welton Street corridor. Holiday festivities will begin around 3:00pm. Family-friendly activities will include pictures with Santa, free toy giveaways, and hayrides that will highlight some of the area’s oldest & most historic sites. Then at 6:00pm, join us for the actual lighting ceremony at the corner of Welton, Washington, 26th & 25th Avenues.
You’ll be entertained with music provided by local performers and carolers, and you can indulge yourself in delicious pastries provided by Johnson & Wales. There will be lots to enjoy along the Welton Street corridor; so mark your calendars & set your watches to join us in historic Five Points for a night of holiday fun for the entire family!
